What Our Participants Share
Selected feedback from recent cohorts across all three programs.
I had been managing my spending in my head for years, convinced I had a handle on things. The Budgeting program showed me just how much was slipping through — not dramatically, but steadily. The spreadsheet toolkit we built together in the first session is still something I open every month.

As a freelancer, tax season used to fill me with genuine dread. I had no idea what I was allowed to claim or how LHDN's e-Filing system actually worked. The Tax Awareness program walked through everything step by step. The annotated tax form handout alone was worth the registration.

The savings program was the one that clicked for me. I had savings in a few places but no clear plan connecting them to anything. The concept of goal-based allocation helped me see my money differently. The 30-day email follow-up was a nice touch — it kept me accountable without feeling intrusive.

I came in thinking I already knew the basics of budgeting, but the session on managing irregular income completely changed how I think about the months when commissions come in unevenly. The peer pairing was also unexpectedly helpful — my partner and I ended up checking in even after the program ended.

What I appreciated most was that nobody tried to sell us anything. No insurance, no unit trust, no platform referrals. The facilitator genuinely focused on helping us understand the options without steering us toward anything. That kind of approach is harder to find than it should be.

I enrolled in the Tax program with my wife. We are both sole traders with different income structures, and the sessions covered enough variety that we both left with useful clarity. The reference checklist is something I go back to every January when I start preparing. Really practical work.

CASE STUDY · BUDGETING PROGRAM
Regaining Clarity on a Variable Income
Nurul Ain binti Khalid
Admin Executive · Budgeting & Cash Flow Mastery
The situation: Nurul Ain had been working for several years but found that despite a stable salary, her savings at the end of each month were inconsistent. She enrolled in the Budgeting program partly out of curiosity and partly out of frustration with patterns she couldn't quite identify.
The experience: Working through real spending scenarios in session helped her see that her irregular outgoings — annual subscriptions, occasional medical costs, and festival expenses — were the missing variable. The spreadsheet toolkit introduced a "sinking fund" approach she hadn't encountered before.
Three months on: Nurul Ain reports her monthly closing balance has been consistently positive since she restructured her categories. She describes the change as gradual but meaningful — the kind that comes from a clearer system rather than sudden discipline.
CASE STUDY · TAX PROGRAM
Replacing Guesswork with Grounded Understanding
David Lim Kah Fai
Freelance Designer · Tax & Compliance Awareness
The situation: David had been filing his own taxes for four years but admitted he was largely copying what he had done the year before, without a solid grasp of the underlying rules. He was particularly unsure about which business expenses were allowable and how relief categories applied to someone without a fixed employer.
The experience: The program broke down the LHDN e-Filing process in a way that made sense for self-employed individuals. The annotated sample forms were particularly useful — David found himself referring to them at his desk during the actual filing period.
Next filing season: David filed earlier than usual that year and, for the first time, felt confident about what he had submitted. He noted that the filing checklist removed the usual pre-April anxiety he had grown used to.
